Pavlova
Recipe History
Pavlova is a meringue-based dessert named after the Russian ballerina Anna Pavlova. It is popular in Australia and New Zealand, often served at celebrations and gatherings.
Ingredients
- 4 egg whites
- 250g sugar
- 1 teaspoon vinegar
- 300ml cream
- 200g mixed berries
Directions
1. Preheat oven to 120°C.
2. Whisk egg whites until stiff peaks form, then gradually add sugar.
3. Fold in vinegar and spoon onto a baking tray.
4. Bake for 1 hour, then let cool.
5. Whip cream and top with berries before serving.
